A soundscape should make space, not demand attention

In guided audio, music has a job to do. It can hold continuity, soften transitions, create a sense of place or give a long pause enough structure to feel intentional.

I build sound around the actual experience rather than treating it as wallpaper. That means considering tempo, density, repetition, silence, the frequency range of the voice and where the listener’s attention needs to be.

Gyndroid is Camilla Wellton’s voice, music and sound work. The result can be a complete piece, a voice-supported bed, or a set of related cues for a larger programme.

If a project includes narration, I can shape the music around the voice from the start. That makes it easier to leave room for consonants, breath and important instructions while still giving the piece a distinct atmosphere.

If your editor needs alternate lengths, loops, voice-only masters or separate music versions, include that in the production brief so the deliverables are agreed before the final mix.

For apps, courses, practices and audio libraries

Original sound can support guided meditations, meditation apps, yoga audio and breathwork practices. Some projects need a single track. Others need a family of cues that share the same sound language across a course or library.

Tell me where the audio will live, whether voice is part of it, the intended duration, any loop or edit points, and what the listener should feel the sound doing. We can then define the right level of music rather than adding sound simply because there is space for it.
